A debate on peer assessment

We saw in a previous post that some MOOCs use peer assessment as a grading method.

In the video below, Dan Ariely a behavioural economics professor from Duke University, who is currently teaching A Beginner’s Guide to Irrational Behaviour on Coursera discusses the issues associated with peer assessment.

If anything, the video shows that some level of interactivity between students and professors can be achieved in MOOCs.
